Noisy Neighbours Suck

Below are various audio clips of the disturbances caused by my neighbour and his guests this past weekend August 8th – 11th 2025.

Please note it is not practical to have a running commentary or time checks in all clips for the basic reason of maintaining my sanity.

Headphone use is recommended.

Friday 8th

I became aware of an unusual amount of noise at approximately 17:23.

Part of this deluge of noise was clearly a child running back and forwards.

From approximately 21:00 to 23:00 there were regular banging and furniture movement type sounds, an example of which….

Washing machine use at antisocial times.

Saturday 9th

Woken up shortly before 06:26 by banging overhead, exactly the same type of banging that was going on the previous night and also taking place on the 35 side of the building.

At 06:26…. upon listening again to this clip it sounds like a ball bouncing 56 seconds in.

Noise resumed again at 09:37 and continued multiple times with varying loudness, this went on for over three hours.

It is impractical to listen to such a long recording so this is broken down into selected smaller clips, the full 7 hour recording is available on request.

At 10:14…. a very noisy exit.

At 10:17…. still more noise from overhead.

At 12:18 another noisy exit….

At 12:53 another noisy exit….

At 13:59 someone is back already…. so much of an hour or two of respite.

Has the point sunk in yet?

I have literally hours more of recordings of the nonsense that went on in the afternoon and late into the evening.

Sunday 10th

For my own sanity and to ensure a decent nights sleep, I had to stay away from home.

Monday 11th

Movement and foot impact noise was heard overhead from 07:16

This first clip captures one exit from Flat E.

This clip captures the second exit from Flat E a short while later.

I had thought that was the end of the disturbances but they returned on the evening of Tuesday 12th, recordings in a follow up post.

The host is no quieter

Earlier in the week someone also made their presence known on the morning of Wednesday 6th after ten or so days of quiet.

In hindsight I believe this was the 3rd tenant named SB.

So no, the disturbances are not just caused by the guests.

I intend to populate this blog with all the information I have access to regarding the continuing noise disturbances from the property above me.

The owner (also one of the freeholders) was told of the issues the very first time we met back in 2015, and to date only one element of the noise has been resolved, but that took 9 and a half years to remedy with zero help from my own landlord or the other freeholders of the building.

Along with his own prior use of the property in question, since April 2019 his son and three sets of tenants have continued to cause all manner of disturbances with the right of peaceful enjoyment of my home.
